A Professional Presentation - Feminine Business Branding

Some statistics say that the average Internet surfer only spends mere seconds visiting a website. If this is true, it means you have only a very limited amount of time to impress a potential customer and convince her that your product or service is exactly what she needs. How can you grab her attention long enough to convey that you have a solid reputation in your field, integrity, expertise and the best solution to her need?

The first and obvious choice is to visually present yourself with a professional, memorable identity - one that is catchy, unique and that accurately depicts or conveys your specialty. I'm not just talking about a logo. I'm talking about a "presence"  - one that a customer can associate with your business name. One that is recognizable - even among your competitors - and one that will define you, your personality, your products, talents or your service. A visual presentation cannot be average where there is so much competition in a world that needs to have answers and solutions in microwave time. It must be personal, specifically for your business, not generic or seen on other websites. You need to draw your viewer in, captivate her, interest her and hold her attention or you'll just go unnoticed and fall into the black hole of ordinary.

How do I know this? Ten years of working among a multitude of competitors in my field - some maybe even offering better solutions than me. But I never let that intimidate or deter me - I focused on presenting my strengths and uniqueness, using my own original, distinct ideas and concepts. Over the years I've been keenly aware of a handful of so-called designers who try their best to copy, imitate and emulate my work, but people who have mastered the art of copying are not true artists. These types of "designers" may flourish for a time, but then fall by the wayside and are ultimately forgotten. The secret to longevity and prosperity in any type of business is to be different, be original and be bold. Don't always or necessarily go with the latest "trend" that every single website in your field is using. Present your business with a brand that is specific for your personality and your personal tastes - be daring, be different and be willing to make a small investment in your business to outshine your competitors.
